"Owl’s feathers were rumpled, and she cared not for appearances, spending most of her time in her study with books piled high around her. She loved a good library. And she was chock full of the wisdom of the ages, from the myths of yore, to the stories still nesting in the imaginal realm. She could wind bits of truth into an illuminated whole sometimes for weeks on end, to the chagrin of the smaller owlets under her tutelage, who did not yet have eyes to see as far into the Mystery as Owl.”
